COMPUTER : Computer is an electronic device which can solve data as per given instruction.

A. According to function :
a) Analog Computer. 
b) Digital Computer. 
c) Hybrid Computer. 

a) ANALOG COMPUTER : An analog computer is a form of computer that uses continuous electrical, mechanical or hydraulic quantities to solve the problem. 
b) DIGITAL COMPUTER  : A computer that performs calculation and logical operations by using digits, usually in the binary number system is called digital computer. 
c) HYBRID COMPUTER : Hybrid computer means combination of analog and digital computer, capable of inputting and outputting in both digital and analog signals.

B. On basis of Size :
a) Super Computer.
b) Mainframe Computer.
c) Mini Computer.
d) Micro or personal Computer. 

a) SUPER COMPUTER : The fastest and most powerful type of computer. It is very expensive. It is used for mathematical calculation. 
b) MAINFRAME COMPUTER : It very large and expensive computer.  Thousands of users can use it at a time. It is more powerful than super computer. 
c) MINI COMPUTER : It is mid-sized computer. 4-200 users can use it at a time.
d) PERSONAL COMPUTER : A personal computer generally fit on a desk. It is generally used for personal work.
